So I got my new reg on my tank a couple days ago, I then decided to change my output pressure just to see. Ninja Regs are easy to do this too I dunno about any other companies.
Why would you do this? I have only a theory that by dropping my tank output I will save some wear on my HPR, and I am curious I am not looking for any kind of efficiency gain or some other kind of black magic.
Stock output on a standard Ninja reg is 800psi, I had taken it up to the shop to enlist Robbies assitance and tools for the removal of the old reg from the tank. So we tested the output pressure which was around 750 psi. So I when I got home I opened up my Reg and took two shims off in the hope that I will now be outputting around 500psi still plenty to run an Ego but 300psi less pressure on my internals.
So my question to you all is this. What output do you guys use on your guns or do you even mess with the regs at all?

I have not bothered to mess with any of my tank regs. For other people, yes. Just not on any tanks I own/use.

So my experiment failed. I thought I only took two shims off but somehow I manged to drop the output pressure to low to even cycle the 11. I put the shims back in and used the bottle all day on Sunday with zero issues. I have decided to do some more research before I try again.
*Edit* And it turns out that I am an idiot who can't correctly read the manual. Turns out I am not alone though so the answer was easy to find, I took washers off the spring stack instead of fishing shims out the reg body...oops.
I think I have learned more about fixing things by accidentally breaking them than I have on purpose. On the plus side it makes future trouble shooting easy.

;D Nice. What's important is you learned from it and it was easily corrected, vice causing any permanent damage.
