2010 Traveller Rolling Gear Bag:
I am never one to believe any hype unless I try something for myself. So when I heard about the new bags that Eclipse was putting out, I knew that I would need more than just the opinion of 1 of my teammates- I'd have to use it myself.
The good folks at Eclipse created this gear bag to split-That's about the meat of it, but you can read that for yourself in the description.
Here's the good stuff:
This year, the colors are very cool.
The shell is made of a stronger, easier to clean, more durable material than the past bags.
Of course, the top section keeps clothes clean and seperate.
The added bonuses are that the gear area has just enough room for everything for a weekend and the tarpoline-like interior is much easier to clean out. The improved skateboard-style wheels allow for travel over surfaces (like mulch and gravel). And, the pull handle has been improved- it's thicker and feels much more durable.
The ONLY downsides are:
The compartments on the inner walls are smaller than those of the Lowland bags. The access to the top section, when connected, is limited only to a small zippered opening at one end, forcing you to take the sides apart to access your stuff.
Overall, I am liking this bag a lot! Since we travel every month, it seems to be an excellent companion on the road!
